Tech Lead @ Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Job Summary
Due to business expansion, we are now hiring a Tech Lead in Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for building an overseas development team and managing a team of programmers. They need to demonstrate leadership and lead their team through all project phases by using their technical knowledge and experience and act as a mentor and a coach to their team members.
They will be expected to constantly communicate with the Hong Kong project management team and technical team. They should also have excellent problem solving and communication skills to maintain an effective working relationship with clients.
We are looking for people who are passionate about games, comics, animation, light novels, fan art, and someone who shares the same vision in being a part of the future in technology.
Job Responsibility:
- Lead a Unity mobile game development team
- Collaborate with project manager, game designers, illustrators and game testers
- System architectural design
- Modularize programming
- Version control
Required skills and experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in both iOS and Android game development (or other relevant experience on tech side)
- 2+ years as a Tech Lead, leading a team of 5+ team members
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related subject
- Mastery of Unity 3D / Unreal
- Mastery of back-end development
- Experience in modularizing the code
- Experience in version control
- Willingness to learn about the disciplines above which you don’t have experience with
- Excellent verbal and written communication in both Chinese and English
Preferred skills and experience:
- Experience in game design & balancing
- Experience in team setting
- Understanding of blockchain technology
- Interest or experience in blockchain, such as smart contract development (Solidity / Ethereum, Web3.js or Ethers.js library), deploying blockchain infrastructure
- Verbal communication in Cantonese is a plus
